Carp Leaping over the Dragon Gate

This one-minute, dialogue-free animation retells the ancient Chinese legend of the carp leaping over the Dragon Gate. The scene is designed in two vertical layers: below, the carp swims forward through a lotus pond; above, six Dragon Gates appear, each bearing a blessing for examination candidates. Commissioned and produced by the Guangzhou Lu Xun Memorial Hall for the special exhibition "Success in the Imperial Examinations: Imperial Examination Relics from the Collection". I was responsible for the scene design.
