Lacquer Together - Entrance KV Animation

2025

Introduction

The Guangdong Museum exhibition "Lacquer Together" includes several AIGC moving-image works. Serving as the lead producer, I was responsible for the entrance KV animation: storyboarding, style definition, AI generation, final editing, and on-site calibration in the exhibition hall. The animation is built on an early 19th-century black-lacquered wood screen with gold-painted dragon-boat races, recombined through AIGC to foreground visual impact and the detailed ornamentation of the screen.

Concept & Philosophy

"The work translates a lacquer screen — a traditional craft object — into an ultra-wide digital image (7568 × 2150). Placed at the exhibition entrance, its moving imagery rebuilds the visual tension of the artefact, allowing visitors to encounter the details of the object before they step into the hall."
