Yanle Tu - Motion Graphics Animation

The exhibition "Shining Brightly: The Ritual and Music Civilisation of Xia, Shang and Zhou" includes an entrance animation and two motion-graphics pieces, "Bronze Jian with Feasting, Archery and Hunting Patterns" and "Battle on Land and Water". I was responsible for the Yanle motion-graphics animation. Based on the artefact "Yanle Shelie Tujian", the work is an interactive motion-graphics animation that explains the ritual scenes of the Archery Rite, the Yan Rite and the Sou Rite.

"The work translates static engraved patterns on bronze vessels into interactive motion graphics, turning the abstract procedures of the ritual and music system into a visual language an audience can follow step by step."
